About Heather Beckley

I have done just about everything! I worked in Architectural Firms for years that allowed me to become an efficient drafter on board and on CAD & REVIT. This also allowed me to work construction in the field and visit various sites during the building phases to check on the work being done. I spent some time with an Engineering Department doing Civil Engineering. This let me hone in on some new skills including Plat Maps, Sewer & Water Main Maps, Surveying and learning Mircrostation. I have been employed as an independent contractor doing CAD drawing and property/easement research in Louisville, Kentucky. From there life took a twist and I started down a new path. I completed my Bachelor's Degree at SIUC in Workforce Education & Development while working at Pearle Vision managing the lab. I learned a lot about customer service in this capacity. From there I ventured into Blogging. I worked with companies such as Infantino, GoGo Squeez, Beco Baby Carriers, and Carmex just to name a few. It was during these years blogging that I taught myself the ins and outs of building a website, learning code, marketing and social media. It was through all this combined experience that I acquired my teaching certification specializing in Vocational Programs offered at the High School level. With that new position I was able to complete many more classes and get certified by Adobe and Autodesk. An accomplishment I'm sure was made a easier by my years blogging. I worked at Mt. Vernon Township High School for two years in their CTE Department. I taught Graphic Design I & II, Web Design, Drafting (Mechanical), AutoCAD, REVIT, & PLTW CEA (Civil Engineering & Architecture). I missed the creativity of Social Media & Marketing, so I left teaching to work for Cedarhurst Center for the Arts. I feel I've finally found my niche, helping businesses grow through the use of Social Media and local Networking.
