About Heather Carr

I have worked as a Project Manager for Nineteen years. I have see many changes in technology over the years and it is key that we are able to adapt quickly to deliver value in the fastest time possible, and do it well. In my nineteen years of experience I have worked with different types of teams within an organization. That includes Sales, Training, Front End Implementation, Back End Support and Development. My nineteen years of being a Project Management has given me a skill set to be an excellent leader by being able to leverage skills of each member of the team to maximize efficiency. I am excellent at relationships. So much of project success has to do with being able to successfully getting the team to work together towards a common goal. In today's word we have be adaptable as a team. Project Management is not just Critical Chain. It is my job to recognize which methodology is most appropriate to deliver value to the client the quickest, Whether that be via Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc. One of my jobs as a Program/Project Manager is to use effective communication skills within my team and to provide accurate updates to leadership. All projects have issues and risks. It is my job as Project Manager to make sure we are creating a mitigation plan for each and to escalate as necessary. I act as a servant leader, or "Lead By Example" to motivate the team. A motivated team that feels valuable with a common goal is a great start to a successful project. I encourage project stakeholders to engage and learn more about the project methodology being used. They have the best understanding of the most valuable deliverables so if they are educated they can prioritize for development better and the team is motivated when leadership is engaged. Knowledge is power and the more they understand the process of managing the project the more cohesive the team can become. With the right Project Manager the reputation of project implementation experiences can be improved. One thing that makes me an excellent Project Manager is my investment into not only the deliverables, but also the team as a whole. I want the team and/or client to feel comfortable coming to me with concerns. I will work with the team on the best resolution while keeping leadership informed.
