About Heather Connelly
Heather Connelly is an artist and researcher, currently Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Cultural Engagement Fellow at Birmingham City University (BCU) and the Library of Birmingham. Her research concerns art-and-translation as a conflated, transdisciplinary practice. I am particularly interested in practice-based research, specifically how art practice can create new ways of thinking about and engaging with linguistic translation and encourages a critical approach to intercultural communication. Heather is also co- founder and co-curator of InDialogue a biannual international symposia, which examines alternative ways that artists utilise dialogue within their work.
