About Heather Ditch

I’ve been working in creative communications for 30 years, on both the client and supplier side, in the private and public sector, and working inside companies and for myself. I accidentally found the thing I love doing most in strategic brand planning and articulation - starting out in the creative industries in project management, I could never help muscling in on creative process and soon switched to the other side. My latest position with Desq means combining both project oversight and client management with creative and strategic thinking, applied to digital learning design. I really enjoying the chance to get under the skin of a project to push at what's really needed, wanted and possible. Clients say I ‘get things’ – I understand their ambitions and the value of what they are offering, and I translate that into project scoping and creative concepts. I'm from a brand communications background which sets me in good stead - I'm always looking for ways to translate brand into output, including digital learning and onboarding. My copywriting past is useful too - I like words and their power to transform user experience when well-used. I believe in instinct. I know how apostrophes work. I’m old fashioned about dedication and loyalty. I’m excited by great ideas. Specialities: brand research, qualitative brand research, creative writing, brand and business consultancy.
