My older sister died of a terminal illness the week my senior high school year began. Growing up in my family shaped my desire to solve problems, and my passion for helping people to recover from grief and loss. I'm keenly aware of the fortitude and inner strength it takes to be creative and resilient in the face of financial, housing, and food insecurity. Those early obstacles shaped me to become an entrepreneurial thinker, a empathetic leader, an authentic communicator, and a strategic problem solver.
