About Heather Galbraith
I am a contemporary art curator, writer, and educator. I work part-time for the College of Creative Arts Toi Rauwharangi, Massey University, Wellington, and part-time as Curator and Education Projects lead at DEPOT Te Whare Toi in Te Hau Kapua (Devonport). I have worked in senior curatorial roles in major institutions (collecting and non-collecting) in New Zealand and London. I have been part of the New Zealand at Venice project teams for the national representation at the Venice Biennale in 2009, 2013 and was Commissioner for the 2015 project working with artist Simony Deny, and curator Robert Leonard. I was Managing Curator for SCAPE Public Art, Ōtautahi Christchurch (2016-2018). Currently I work with eight makers from Narrm and Aotearoa on a jewellery/body adornment project called Deep Material Energy at
