About Heather Gale

Registered Nurse and Midwife, licensed to practice with AHPRA. I have a post graduate diploma in Nurse Education and a Master of Nursing. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who is passionate about the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding, and views breastfeeding as a National Health issue. I have an interest in political and professional advocacy associated with my profession, and my areas of expertise. My clinical experience has involved working in both acute and primary health care settings, working with people's health care needs across the lifespan. I am an Authorised Nurse Immuniser and a dedicated Public Health Nurse. I am able to work with large and small teams. Am qualified and experienced in Nursing and health related education (undergraduate, postgraduate, face to face and online), and public speaking, with a particular interest in the support and the promotion of healthy relationships. I am an experienced Board member and have participated on health related advisory committees (National and State). Am deeply passionate about human potential, and truly value education's role in the same. I believe health professionals are obliged to be the best they can be to contribute to the health literacy of the people we work with.
