About Heather Gilbert

I am passionate in whatever I do. I consider myself a lifelong learner, eager to make a positive change in my workplace, the community, and the lives of everyone I meet. I graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science. I received multiple music and academic scholarships and remained on the President’s or Dean’s list throughout enrollment. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Golden L Award recipient. During my senior year, I was inducted into Alpha Chi National Honor Society as Lander’s top 3% of students. I strive for continual growth and success in all my endeavors. My work experience in medical and pharmaceuticals has provided enhanced leadership, superior time management, professionalism, and interpersonal skills. I have excelled in fast-paced, high-stress environments and have advanced quickly from entry level positions to management. I have enjoyed working and caring for the patients that I have come to know, and my natural inclination for empathy and nurture have been heightened by this experience. The Music Program at Lander University provided me with ample experience in performance, public speaking, education, history, and music theory. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, excelling in all my classes and performances. I performed in many ensembles, vocal and instrumental, and gave regular solo recitals. I successfully completed every music education class offered at Lander University, and I spent time in the classrooms of elementary, middle, and high school students. My experience in church music has provided continual performance opportunities in both vocal and instrumental works. My blessing to work with students in both youth choir and preschool has grown my heart. My work with students and parents has taught me patience, organization, and how to truly love others unconditionally. At Harbison West Elementary I was able to revitalize my skills in music education. I utilized The Quaver Curriculum for 4K through fifth grade as well as Recorder and Ukulele Karate for third through fifth grade.
