About Heather Gordon

I've spent my life working with youth and young adults as a leader, mentor, facilitator, and team builder. I began in a small college in Student Affairs and Student Activities. My second career was in the Summer Camp industry where I recruited campers and staff and helped run the summer program. Contrary to popular belief, summer camp work can be a year round job! My next step was 18 years as a 4-H Agent with the Cooperative Extension in North Carolina. I helped children ages 5-18 learn life skills such as leadership, decision making, creativity, relationship building, and where food comes from. And now, my fourth career has led me to work with college students at Western Carolina University where I introduce them to transferable skills that they can add to their learning - Cultural Responsiveness, Leadership, Professionalism and Teamwork.
