About Heather Hansen

Every day that I go to work, no matter what or where that job is I truly enjoy helping people from all walks of life, starting with the local community around me. With a comprehensive background in customer service, and years in healthcare administrative roles, I've managed to attain a well-rounded education in the Library and Information Sciences (LIS) Bachelor degree program through the University of Southern Mississippi (online), as well as Environmental & Sustainability Studies degree program at the University of Utah. In addition to my coursework, I also volunteered and completed an internship with the University of Utah Anthropology Collections Department, and subsequently in the Paleontology Department as a fossil preparator. During my pursuance of the LIS degree I also volunteered at a few local branch libraries to learn more practical skills, and continue to volunteer in my spare time.I'm observant, detail-oriented, patient, kind, and like to keep an optimistic sense of humor but a realistic perspective on most things in life. Whether I work in-person or behind-the-scenes, I thrive when I find efficient methods for daily operations, yet I always leave room for new ideas, technologies, and creative inspirations to keep things fresh. That's one reason I enjoy learning from other people; we all have different life, education, and working experiences guiding our choices, our outlooks, and things to share.
