About Heather Helm

Heather Helm received her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Child and Family Services at Oklahoma State University. She is currently the Director of Prevention for Serenity Impact Youth Prevention Program. We exist to build resilience through education youth and families in our community to pursue thriving & healthy lifestyle free from substance use and misuse. We build relationships through our school and community connections to help students and adults cope with life when it throws you curveballs. We strive to be who we needed when we were growing up. She is currently President of the Taylor Alliance for Prevention Coalition. TAP is designed to reduce youth access to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by-Increasing community awareness of the legal and health consequences of substance use-Mobilizing Taylor County citizens to make institutional and policy changes-Working with law enforcement and local businesses to improve enforcement of existing laws; and -Improving the overall health of the community.
