About Heather Heys

I focus on private equity, energy (with an emphasis on oil and gas) and international mergers and acquisitions. At BlackRock, I head up the Legal Insights Team and am a lead architect of Term Intelligence, an LPA benchmarking tool. With over 12 years experience of working in the corporate and private equity groups for Vinson & Elkins, Dentons and Deloitte, I have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government organisations. Added to this, I have extensive China related experience - I spent six years working in Beijing for a leading U.S. law firm, have a Masters in China Studies and played a leading role growing Denton’s Scotland-China practice, including assisting a number of Scottish trade delegations to China - in recognition of this work, I was asked to become a member of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce President’s 1783 Network.
