About Heather Johnson

I am a mother of four. With motherhood my priority is centered on having good employment that helps my family to sustain our livelihood. I have been in the Behavioral Health field for almost seven years. Five years as an EMT-B/Facility Manager for a crisis detox facility in Northern AZ. The last year and a half working IOP for Substance Abuse, specifically with the Native American population. I am a certified BHT, Case Manager, Facilitator, and have experience as an Intake Specialist, Marketing, and Tribal Outreach. Among other roles I have done Clinical Coordinating and was a lead for a Case Management team. I am certified in CMBM-The Center for Mind Body Medicine,Family Circles (Native American based curriculum),Real Colors,Crossroads, and have completed other trainings such as Suicide Prevention. I am well organized, team player, self-started, I work well independently, and have great communication skills. The various jobs I have held has taught me much about myself professionally. I believe in professional ethics, and having accountability in the work place. I work hard and diligently for the work I do. My passion has been to help others. I currently am back in school to finish my Bachelor’s in Psychology with ASU. It has been a stop and go process with being a mom. Overall I’m a humble person and enjoy the work I do and creating professional relationships with other like minded individuals. I recently accepted volunteer work to assist the Hozho Voices of Healing Center on the Navajo Nation. I will be assisting with their social media and communications. Hozho Voices of Healing Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. It is family founded. It will be good experience to gain. I am also in the process of looking for full-time employment.
