About Heather Kennedy

Heather Kennedy holds a B.Sc. from Queen's University, is a registered professional engineer in Alberta and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. She is currently an experienced Board member for share, non-share, crown and not for profits bringing governance, fiduciary responsibility and problem solving to a Board table. She has worked in senior roles in both the private and public sector. Her 23 years of mineral processing plant experience covers engineering, operations, and capital expansions. Additionally, she has 21 years of policy, regulatory, human resources, external relations leadership and tribunals. For more than 20 years she has contributed to numerous not-for-profit and community organizations. She volunteers extensively in the engineering space to promote women in the profession, and to ensure engineers are best able to address the grand challenges of our time with innovation and collaboration.
