About Heather Millinger

In order to adequately prepare for a teaching career, I have earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance and Education studies at Bowling Green State University. Also, I have completed an Additional Certification program in Elementary Education at the Ohio State University in Mansfield, Ohio. My current Ohio teaching license qualifies me to teach Music grades K-12 and Elementary grades 1-8. In addition to my university training, I have been actively employed as an educator for the last 24 years. I served as the Art, Music, and P.E. teacher at Marseilles Elementary in the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District from August - June 2004. I began teaching at Gilead Christian School in August 2004, in which I have been able to work with students grades K-12 in Music and Art from 2004-2020. My teaching responsibilities at that time included K-6 General Music, K-6 Art, 5-12 Instrumental Music and 7-12 Art. Since the fall of 2020, I have changed to teaching Science and Social Studies for grades 4-6. These experiences have given me an opportunity to develop my teaching techniques and refine my organizational qualities in situations that require flexibility and good classroom management skills.
