About Heather Morgan

As a Registered Nurse with a background in alternative health modalities I am passionate about providing supportive holistic care to families throughout their birth process. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from CSU Sacramento in 2014 and have accepted a position as a labor and delivery nurse at the Sutter Davis Birthing Center. At this establishment I have also been honored to be trained and supported as a volunteer doula since 2013. As a California State Certified Massage Therapist specializing in perinatal massage I completed my certification program in San Luis Obispo in 2001 and have actively sought professional development opportunities including education as a certified prenatal massage therapist and massage doula. In 2014 I completed the UC San Diego lactation educator counselor program, the first half of didactic education needed to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I have also taken training seminars in childbirth education and prenatal yoga instruction. I continue to pursue professional development opportunities that aid me in supporting families with the care, education and resources that they need to navigate the pregnancy and birth process.
