About Heather Morrow

I have been exposed to a vast experience of work, projects, people and lifestyles. I dare to dream beyond the unseen and I love making good things happen, or at least playing a role in the goodness to happen. My favorite thing to do is fix things, whether it is a physical something or just a problem to solve. I endeavor to grow sound businesses to help people and meet them where they are. My heroes and inspiration are my family, and the ones that choose to show up and live with relentless conviction in the belief in something greater than us. You can find me in nature, in a book, or I'm busy cooking if you can't find me. I believe in the power of us. All of us. Press on my friends. We are here for good reason. Additionally I've survived domestic violence, and am helping to break the cycle any time I see a chance to. I know my struggle is not unique, we all have a story. My battles are Chiari symptoms, pelvic congestive disorder, an immune disorder, PTSD, addiction recovery, and severe osteoarthritis. I combat these with a vegan-ish diet, medical cannabis, daily yoga, and abstaining from alcohol. Ask me for more info if you'd like resources. My background in work was always customer service or food service since I was a single mom, and they'd work with me if I needed to attend to family. I wished to be a vet or a doctor. a human engineer is what I said as I grew up around my engineer father and science minded brother. I was lucky to learn binary code from my dad, and he piqued my curiosity when he let me color schematics and work on cars with him. My college life was full time with 2 small kids and enduring then leaving domestic violence all while working 45-55 hours a week catering. I am a semester away from a degree in Community and Justice Policy and Elementary Education. The daycare was not sufficient and my kids had Adhd. I put eduction on hold. As my children grew into their unique and talented selves, we found the best shot at education and staying close to each other was at a local maker space. I landed a job there, while working at a couple local restaurants, loving to serve and be near my kid, helping to grow the space and school. This while leaving abuse again. We outgrew the space when a machine shop opened and offered a real means for self-sufficiency for myself, more aligned with my values, and my kids went on to college. Here's to growing amazing us!
