About Heather Nelson

I take my primary responsibility as an educator very seriously, as these are the years that mold an individual from Good to Great (by Jim Collins). When the people I have impact on succeed, I in turn succeed, and my primary focus is to help students and colleagues find that success. My position also exercises the roles, responsibilities, and confidentiality required to be a superior, professional member of a diverse team. Serving on multiple committees and organizations that support the improvement of our University, our community, and the people within our reach, my endeavors do not end in the classroom. With over 10 years of customer service experience, handling a wide range of projects, ranging from initiating and establishing new processes and procedures, planning and executing events, to renovation and construction projects, and developing long range operational and financial plans, in support of varied strategic and tactical business objectives, I have obtained the ability and confidence to not only take on new challenges, but also bring innovative thinking to the table.
