I am a knowledgeable Registered Nurse with 20 years of nursing experience in surgical services, pediatric emergency department, clinical education, physician education, geriatrics, quality assurance, chart review, policy and procedure development, electronic medical records (Epic, Meditech, Cerner, OneClick), Microsoft Office Suite, presentation development and delivery, infection control, physician order sets, corporate nursing, and evidence based clinical research. I currently work as a Health Facility Evaluator Nurse with the California Department of Public Health investigating and ensuring the compliance of health facilities with state and federal rules and regulations. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from a California State University as a young single mother of two toddlers. I have faced and overcome many trials and challenges in my life and professional career which have molded me into a compassionate, detail oriented, self-motivated, team player with a wealth of knowledge.
