About Heather Palacios

An experienced HR professional with ten years of experience in Recruiting and Staffing in the healthcare industry. Currently serve as the system-wide HR Training Coordinator for Driscoll Health System. For the past two years, I’ve been a leader in the core implementation team for Workday in Recruiting and HCM. While I am not Workday certified, I have become a self-taught SME for the Recruiting and HCM functional areas. With the guidance of the Workday implementation consultant, I built custom business processes for candidate workflows, offers, and hires. After go-live, I have served a dual role of training upper-management and senior leadership and as an in-house consultant for HCM and Recruiting. One of my most significant accomplishments in this role is the creation of the Workday Leader Handbook and the delivery of consultant-level training organization-wide. Comments from Senior-Level Workday consultants included “one of the best, if not the best, training materials I’ve ever seen developed for an organization.” I’m known for my intuitive and curious nature regarding technology and process improvement. Before Workday, I was the in-house SME for our Oracle recruiting platform, Taleo TBE. I leveraged the Workday Community to become a self-taught expert on the Workday platform. As an intuitive user, I immediately understood the platform and configuration processes. After go-live, I’ve become the sole consultant for HR. I have played a critical role in the success of this organization’s implementation of Workday HCM and Recruiting. I’m also known for my positive outlook on life and work. I am very enthusiastic about things I am passionate about. I enjoy uplifting and motivating others to embrace change. I feel like every experience is a learning opportunity. I’m very interested in a Consultant position because it allows me to build upon the experience I have gained during this implementation and my previous years of relevant experience.
