About Heather Seutter

Heather has worked for the City of Edmonton for 25 years in various positions in City Administration. She shares a passion for promoting opportunities for professional venue management operations and production of local and international live events and entertainment. Heather promotes opportunities for access to community recreation, professional and amateur sport competitions and diverse cultural activities. Heather believes live events along with recreation and sport can bring many health and wellness benefits and actively benefit overall community social and economic outcomes. Beginning her career on the front line of community recreation service delivery with children and youth, Heather has worked closely with culturally diverse and Indigenous community members, promoted local sport achievements on a provincial and national level, and provided leadership in aquatic and arts skill development. As a dynamic leader during changing times, Heather has worked in venue management, facility operations, security, recreation programming, sport competitions and sport services, customer and visitor service, and operational management at the Commonwealth Stadium, Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre, Clarke Stadium, 21 City Arenas, City Arts Centre, Fort Edmonton Park, Edmonton Valley Zoo, Leisure Centres, Muttart Conservatory, City Golf Courses, River Valley parks, and Cemeteries. In her current role, as the Director of Commonwealth Stadium, Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre, 21 Arena facilities, and 7 Premier Field Facilities, Heather enjoys working with the many international, national and local sport and community organizations. During CFL professional football and CPL soccer games you will find her as the Director of Commonwealth Stadium and Clarke Stadium, leading the team of committed City employees and event partners, providing access to live sporting and entertainment experiences. While Heather is out of the office she is usually at the hockey rink or soccer field but loves spending time outdoors, kayaking, skiing, swimming, hiking and biking in Edmonton’s Urban River Valley. She is an avid sports enthusiast, supporter, cheerleader, and volunteer.
