About Heather Slezak

After spending years, and numerous roles, in the oil industry as a hydraulic fracturing engineer, I now apply my interpersonal and technical skills in the classroom. I am a results-driven engineer with a drive for a hands-on approach and I use my experience in industry to teach instrumentation and electrical students at Montana State University-Billings. In addition to the instrumentation and electrical (I&E) courses, I also teach a handful of process plant technology (PPT) courses. I enjoy taking the knowledge I have learned over the years and applying it to create lectures and labs to prepare students to be successful in industry. Another aspect of success within my teaching career is consulting with industry professionals. Gathering information about the current technology and advancements in industry allows me to ensure students are adequately prepared upon graduation.
