About Heather Sturges

Worked as an event photographer for 3 years. During those three years i have traveled to New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, Vancouver and Savannah growing as a photographer and artist. I have been involved with acting for the past 10 years. I graduated of the Vancouver Film School where I wrote and starred in a short film directed by Bill Marchant. I have written and produced my own short film Lying to Be Good, which was submitted to festivals in America and Canada. Currently I am studying acting, and continuing to further my education of independent film with Brad Calcaterra at the Studio Act located in New York City. My work in acting and small independent film has strengthened my ability to actively listen to others and critically think while maintaining some creative outside the box problem solving. Since 2016 I have been the taproom manager and event coordinator at the Oyster Bay Brewing Company. Over the course of the last four years, especially during covid-19 operations, I have honed my skills as a project manager; scheduling, organization, and operations just to name a few. This work experience has helped me secure confidence in taking on responsibility and challenges. Specialties: Acting, branding, photographer, dealing with little children and parents, photoshop. I have been working in the hospitality industry for the last 10 years. Where I have been a server, bartender and tap room manager. I continue to grow as a photographer, getting a keen eye on branding and what image captures the right aesthetic. My photos have been used by museums, restaurants, bars and small businesses.
