About Heather Tanner

With over nine years of nursing experience in various settings, I am a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse at Lexington Medical Center, where I provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. I am working towards a Master of Science in Nursing degree and I am proficient in using Cerner, a leading electronic health record system. I have also worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU at Palmetto Health and at Providence Hospitals, where I gained valuable skills and knowledge in neurology, critical care, and hospital operations. My core competencies include patient assessment, intervention, education, and advocacy, as well as collaboration, communication, and leadership. I am passionate about advancing the field of nursing and improving the health outcomes of cardiac patients. I am also committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare industry, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
