About Heather Tomson

With 17 years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist and a BBA from the University of Ottawa, I have dedicated my career to further understanding sleep, and then improving how sleep is understood, diagnosed, and treated. My life in sleep has spanned clinical practice, research, education, working with software development, and more recently, sales—a field I’m still learning but genuinely excited to grow in. I’ve taken on roles that go beyond the everyday, whether leading project efforts to improve care for larger populations, contributing to the development of innovative tools to support sleep diagnostics, exploring advanced technologies like the Odds Ratio Product (ORP) – a passion of mine, or mentoring the next generation of sleep technologists. I value relationships, creativity, and having a great time! I’ve been so lucky to have had the privilege of working with the companies and people in our field. Being on a Sales team this past few years has deepened my appreciation for the connections that drive meaningful change in healthcare. From building relationships with physicians to understanding customer needs, I’m continually learning how to blend my technical expertise with a sales-focused mindset to deliver solutions that make a real impact.
