About Heather Vass

I am a Registered Dietitian at Telus Healthcare Centre (previously Copeman Healthcare) in North Vancouver, Canada as well as a Sessional Lecturer at The University of British Columbia. I work as a dietitian in a clinical and counselling focused practice as part of an interdisciplinary team, and teach 4th year clinical nutrition to students prior to their dietetic internship. With a proactive approach to nutrition and physical fitness, I empower my clients to optimize their health, manage chronic conditions, and enhance their athletic performance. I specialize in creating manageable nutrition plans suited to clients’ specific goals and needs. My background encompasses a wide range of practice areas with an emphasis on sport nutrition, blood sugar and cholesterol management, digestive issues (including IBS, Celiac disease and food intolerances) and general healthy eating. I also write a food and nutrition blog "Cell to Soul Nutrition" that features whole-food recipes, cooking and nutrition tips. One of the biggest things you can do for your health is to cook more often! I love food and cooking, and am very active in my spare time. I enjoy playing sports, being outdoors, travelling, and spending down time in the company of good friends and family. I hold a Bachelor of Science in food, nutrition and health and a Bachelor of Science in exercise and health physiology. I completed my dietetic internship with Providence Health Care in Vancouver, Canada.
