For 21 years I worked alongside students, parents & volunteers as the Director of Children's, Youth and Family Ministries at 5 different churches in the PCUSA. I was fortunate to be a part of CE curriculum writing think tanks, participated in Rotation Model planning, attended LOGOS conferences, & been a part of spiritual activity planning for students. I spent most of my adult life building Christian relationships & helping strengthen the faith of students. In my tenure as a DYM, I participated in Presbytery events, Youth Specialties, Faith Inkubators & PCUSA conferences, Montreat College Conferences & numerous mission projects. I taught a variety of theme night Bible studies & Confirmation. As our family’s life evolved, I left ministry for an opportunity to return to the corporate world and I couldn’t be any more excited to have the opportunity for a really unexpected but overwhelmingly welcome career change! I can’t wait to see what the new year will bring! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing books, blogging, volunteering and advocating for those who are unable to speak for themselves, including refugee children and those living in poverty. I recently wrote a funny book on grief ( yes, I know that's an oxymoron) called "Faith, Grief and Pass the Chocolate Pudding"(which is available at as well as on Amazon and at your local bookstores) which chronicles my journey after my father passed away in an attempt to make others feel less alone while grieving.
