I started my career in healthcare 28 years ago. I worked in Materials Management and then transferred to ER while pursuing my bachelor degree in nursing. As a nurse, I worked in numerous ICUs for ten years- from a new grad, ARMY nurse progressing to the charge nurse. My next endeavor took me to opening a new hospital as the Clinical Coordinator of the PACU, where I remained till I graduated with my acute care nurse practitioner degree. I took my relationship with surgeons and joined the bariatric group. Since I have been with the group, I started a post-surgery medication service and have doubled our initial assessment.
