As a Project Manager in Mining Operations and Rescue, I specialize in delivering tailored training and consultation services focused on safety and emergency preparedness for the mining industry. My expertise includes work at heights, technical rescue, and rescue leadership, with a strong emphasis on developing strategies that enhance emergency response capabilities. I am dedicated to advancing workplace safety and equipping emergency response teams to manage the most challenging scenarios effectively. Emergency Response & Mine Rescue I bring over 14 years of underground mine rescue experience and 10 years of surface firefighting expertise. With more than a decade of participation in Provincial, National, and International mine rescue competitions, I specialize in technical rescue, particularly rope and confined space scenarios. I am also a certified Emergency Medical Responder and actively serve as a volunteer firefighter. Mining Expertise With over four years as a production geologist and more than 10 years as an underground miner, I have developed a broad skill set. My experience includes track and trackless haulage, manual and remote operation of scooptrams (1-yard to 12-yard capacity), and mechanized and conventional longhole/bulk blasting. I am proficient in longhole drilling, bolting, slinging, rigging, and operating service vehicles such as boom trucks, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Coaching & Leadership Development As a high-performance biathlon coach, I serve as the Provincial Head Coach and Coach Developer for Biathlon Manitoba. I am certified at the Competition Development level in Biathlon and the Competition Introduction – Train to Train level in Cross Country Skiing, and I am pursuing my Advanced Coaching Diploma. My coaching roles have included Assistant Coach, Head Coach, and Head Wax Technician, with experience spanning grassroots programs to international competitions such as the Junior IBU Cup. I have also contributed to women’s sports development through Biathlon Canada’s Women in Coaching Mentorship Program, serving twice as a mentor coach. In addition, I have 20 years of dedicated service to the cadet program, where I have held leadership and support roles including Commanding Officer, Training Officer, Instructional Officer, and Supply Officer.
