About Heather Wright

I joined Sound Transit in 2016, as a Cost Analyst in Procurement and Contracts. Later, as Manager of the Contract Administration Group, I directed policy & procedure compliance programs related to Indirect Cost Rates, Direct Labor Rates, and other cost analysis issues. Now, as Deputy Director of Audit, I oversee the Performance Auditor Group, perform quality oversight for all audit programs, and assist in developing the Agency’s Audit Management System. Previously, I worked for The Boeing Company as a Cost Policy Analyst where I coordinated DCAA audits for the Engineering, Operations, and Technology Department, and also advised and trained staff on cost compliance issues. I have strong experience leading cross-functional teams through process improvement projects, and maintaining our successes by creating and sharing key performance indicators. I have worked hard to stay current with relevant software and data sources so that I can be relied on to analyze reports to make strategic decisions. Last, and most importantly, I value people and relationships. I know that my success and fulfillment here has been because of the amazing, diverse people I have been privileged to work with and my strong interpersonal techniques. My team is extremely cohesive because we have built strong connections based on trust and support, which allows us to openly share our mistakes, along with our successes to continue our personal and professional improvement journey.
