About Heather Wright

Heather has 13 years of bedside nursing experience in NICU, ICU, and home health, alongside a dynamic 5 year career in nursing education. With a passion for mentoring future nurses, Heather blends clinical expertise with academic instruction to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Heather has taught in clinical, lab, simulation, on-ground didactic, and online settings, covering Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal-Newborn & Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Complex Care, Nursing Informatics, and Community Health. Her experience in accreditation processes ensures high standards in nursing education and program excellence where she has been involved in CNEA and CCNE accreditation processes. She holds current RN licenses in CA, UT and NV. Committed to advancing nursing education and leadership, Heather earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) where she conducted evidence-based research on live-stream NICU cameras which highlight the role of technology in enhancing parental involvement and improving neonatal care outcomes. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Chamberlain University. Balancing academia and bedside practice, Heather remains dedicated to student success, patient advocacy, and the continuous evolution of nursing education alongside staying up with AI driven improvements for students and Instructors.
