About Hector Riva-Palacio

I'm a strong believer that we all have a greater chance of reaching our full potential when we know who we are and understand our unique value. For me, it's about being aware of what we were born to do and creating a path to become that person. When we become the person we're supposed to be, we recognise and can effectively channel this uniqueness, while still embracing our weaker areas. This authentic approach builds trust, develops relationships and improves our ability to influence - skills integral to any leadership or sales based role. Let me give you an example. I'm 'in the flow' when I’m coaching senior leaders. Empowering them to think strategically, creatively or pragmatically, ensuring their ideas are being driven forward. For me there's nothing more energising and fulfilling than working through the finer details of an idea with a 'no stone left unturned' approach. Why does this engage me so much? Well, my strengths are being strategic, creative and detailed. Combined, these give me the unique ability to work from the 'big picture' through to finer detail quicker than the average executive coach. I run a coaching and team development practice called Helping Reach Potential and I’m incredibly lucky that I get to use my unique ability every single day, whether coaching executives or designing and delivering group and team development events and programs. I’ve worked with some inspirational people and businesses. This includes 17 years in a Blue Chip environment and 12 years leading the sales training programs for Camelot Lotteries. Camelot was an amazing company to work for and one that I believed changed lives. Camelot is an advocate for changing lives - not just of its lottery winners but its staff too.
