About Hedia Dickson

I am an organised, hard worker and bold communicator who can work effectively independently as well as within a team. I’m a problem solver ready to apply my critical thinking skills in all areas where it’s necessary as well as learn new skills along the way. I have a friendly personality, I am a patient and attentive listener who seeks to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever I can. Additionally, I have held many positions of responsibility especially in secondary school. I was the female head of council from January 2021 to January 2022 and was responsible for managing 15 other council members, instilling discipline in members of the school body and effectively listening to and communicating with students and staff. I’ve also been involved with volunteer work, working with NGO Sabre Education from December 2019 to April 2021 and doing my part to raise funds for said organisation. I was the impact group coordinator for my university’s Christian Union and the student representative for my cohort for the 2023/2024 academic year. My work experience includes analytical finished product testing on pharmaceutical products in the Quality Control Chemistry department at ThermoFisher Scientific; providing pastoral care and facilitating social programs for students as a Pastoral and Activity Leader with InvestIn and many other part time opportunities with Harris Initial Federation, Scott Anderson Catering Service and the University of Kent that have allowed me to showcase my leadership, communication, teamwork and thinking skills.
