About Heejun Shin

Hello! My name is Heejun Shin. I'm an emergency medicine specialist and associate professor of emergency department at Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital in South Korea. Currently I am a graduate and alumni as a “Disaster Medicine Fellow in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Disaster Medicine Fellowship” and as a “Research Fellow in the Harvard Medical School” officially from 2022 to 2023 as a 15th cohort. And also a graduate and alumni of “Administrative & Leadership Training Program in Emergency Medicine” in the BIDMC. I'm researching and writing journals on the scope of preparing and responding to conventional, CBRNe disaster, and counter-terrorism medicine. I have my specialty and related education content for responding to CBRNE mass casualty events and counter-terrorism medicine. I have taught and developed my educational CBRNE TTX program to my BIDMC Disaster Medicine Fellowship colleague fellows, Ukraine medical doctors, Armenian medical staffs, Massachusetts EMS persons, EMT students, and various international disaster medicine expert participants so far. In May 2023, I presented my CBRNE TTX education as founder and director entitled “DISTURBIA Workshop: Catastrophe in WADEMCity, Capital of Disturbia.
