About Heidi Driesenga

Currently I am the Infection Preventionist and Unit manager at Holland MediLodge. I obtained my Infection Contol Certification in October, 2022.I worked at a Level 1 Emergency Room, night shift for one year before transitioning to my role as a Corrections Nurse for the State of Michigan. I worked as a Med/Surg/Peds nurse for seven years, and cross trained to ICU, where I gained six years of experience. There is a diverse patient population on these units, from infant, to end of life care. I was a credentialed trainer for the Epic ClinDoc track for Spectrum Health Wave 1 and Wave 2 go live. Prior to this role, I was a Physicians Informatics Liasion for Cerner. In December 2018 I was presented the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Prior to obtaining my RN, I was a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 7 years at Spectrum Health, giving me a total of 14 years working for that hospital system in various roles.
