About Heidi Gessner

CEO and founder of Indigo Flow: Path to a New Beginning, my signature program for people grieving a loss, based on my 18+ years as an end-of-life professional, personal experience, and my new book, Pockets of Grace: Lessons from Darkness, Lessons from Light. This intentional, internal process can be done alone or within community. I meet people in the external, empty space of grief, and invite them into the sacred, inner, indigo space where they'll process their loss, learn new skills, and gain resilient tools, whatever stage of life. Through reading, writing, reflecting, and accessing deep memories, this deeply nourishing and cathartic space will naturally excavate new things about being in the world. The process strengthens the secret and hard-won gifts of grief, which allows a new path to emerge. Experienced end-of-life clinical chaplain with 18 years working in the hospital & health care industry. Created and developed University of North Carolina Hospitals Bereavement Support Services, a program dedicated to promoting healthy grieving through educational resources and follow up to families for a year after the death of a loved one. Co-facilitated Writing for Resilience, a weekly reflective prompt-writing group, for patients, caregivers, and community, as a creative coping tool and to initiate healing shifts in perspective. Skilled in Grief Counseling, Coaching, Compassion, Crisis Intervention, Resilience, Family Therapy, and Case Management. Strong community and social services professional with a Master of Divinity focusing in Pastoral Care & Counseling from Campbell University. Board Certified Life Coach and Relationship Consultant. Seasoned wedding officiant and premarital counseling professional who works with couples regardless of sexual orientation and spiritual beliefs. Create sacred, unique, personal, and light-hearted ceremonies that reflect a couples' relationship, values, and beliefs.
