About Heidi Ko

I am a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with experiences in caring for a diverse patient population with cancer in the community and academic practices. I am also a Medical Affairs Medical Director with experience in oncology diagnostics. I was formerly an Assistant Professor in the division of hematology and oncology at UT Health San Antonio. My clinical practice focused on breast oncology. I was involved in developing and enrolling patients into clinical trials. I was the site principal investigator representing UT Health San Antonio in Academic Breast Cancer Consortium. At our cancer center, I participated in the Experimental & Developmental Therapeutics committee where we developed and collaborated on translational research as well as the Protocol Review Committee where I provided institutional peer review of all cancer-related clinical research protocols. I am an active member of American Society of Clinical Oncology. My medical degree is from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my residency in internal medicine at UT Health/McGovern Medical School in Houston. I completed my fellowship in hematology and oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.
