Ever since I was a little girl, my greatest wish was to grow up quickly so that I can turn the handle that will open life’s door to be free to explore and live life to the fullest. I attended Edgewood teachers training college as I knew I had a gift. After leaving college, I realized that there is a whole world out there, just waiting for me to explore. My immediate goal was to save enough money to enable me to reach that goal. Just the fact that I had the determination to turn dreams into reality, made things easier for me. I regard myself as a very responsible, honest, hardworking person. I believe life is for living and that all of us should dig deep within ourselves and do everything in our power to reach our goals – hence the fact that today I can look back and say: “I went; I saw; I experienced life! I might not have a framed degree hanging on my wall, but I do believe my university of life degree will stand me in good stead. During the time I spent backpacking off the beaten track in India; Thailand and Nepal and many more, life taught me a lot. I learnt to be patient; how to live on a shoe string budget; to appreciate my parents more; to be grateful I am healthy and above all’ that God held me safe in His hand during my travels. I am positive that my determination to succeed, my enthusiasm and experience will be an asset to anyone willing to employ me. Regards Heidi
