About Heidi Upham

Multidisciplinary artist and UBC Sauder Master of Management (and a bit of a Renaissance Woman!)I possess a deep interest in the diversity of human perspectives, experiences, and cultures alive on the planet today. I aspire to build bridges between people and foster our abilities to understand and collaborate with each other. Whether a script, a speech, or a brand - I have a passion for helping others tell their stories in a unique, impactful, and empathetic way. My work in theatre and film have empowered me to develop skills in emotional intelligence, active listening, creative thinking, performing, and public speaking. My education at Sauder has given me practical skills in research, critical thinking, quantitative decision making, financial literacy, constructive feedback, and written and verbal communication. My time with international projects such as The Arc Initiative and Rotary International have taught me to be a team player, to adapt quickly to new and challenging situations, and to keep a sense of humor about myself.(I also have a Fight Director's Canada Intermediate Certification in stage combat which means I am competent in pretend smallsword, longsword, rapier dagger, martial arts and above all: persevering through building extremely difficult and niche skills!)Key competencies: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Data Analysis, Creative writing, Business communications, Market research, Brand storytelling, Dramaturgy, French)
