About Heidi Werner

Heidi specializes in launching web-based technologies for the real estate industry. She assembles and manages high performance teams to create new products with multiple types of “fit”. She has led efforts at several early stage start-ups to distill business interests, technology requirements, and the needs of CRE professionals. Heidi's domain knowledge spans UI/UX design, building information modeling, zoning analysis and architecture from over 15 years in New York City’s PropTech and AEC sectors. Oversaw product at Envelope, an emerging PropTech start-up born out of SHoP Architects and MIT’s Civic Data Design Lab. Built up a multidisciplinary team and launched their first B2B SaaS product for real estate zoning analysis. Formerly a member of the X-Information Modeling Team at the global architecture firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Co-authored papers published by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Journal and the SIGGRAPH Asia and Vast Conferences. Also collaborated on civic issues with the New York City Dept. of City Planning, Center for Urban Real Estate at Columbia University, The Municipal Art Society of New York and New York University Computer Science Department. Prior to developing technology products, was an Architectural Designer at the award winning architecture firms ROY and Alan Wanzenberg Architect in New York City. Also a major contributor to the urban revitalization proposal “Just Add Water” in collaboration with Philip Lee Workshop; this project was funded by the New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA) and received a Merit Design Award in 2011 from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Chapter. Studied architecture at both Columbia University GSAPP in New York City and Rice University in Houston, Texas.
