About Heitor Montefusco

As a civil engineer, my expertise encompasses cement-based materials, the development, and evaluation of diverse projects involving both fresh and hardened-state concretes, 3D printing of cementitious materials, and the application of industrial waste. I possess skills in innovation, planning, problem-solving, teamwork, and motivation, contributing to the development of sustainable and high-performance solutions in the construction industry. I have participated in diverse projects, collaborating with both the industry and the academic sector, with a primary focus on developing low CO2 footprint and reduced water consumption concretes. By utilizing the LEAP (Low Emission Advance Performance) technology, we successfully executed projects with approximately 200 kg/m³ of cement and a water consumption of around 160 kg/m³. Furthermore, I have acquired experience in testing cementitious materials in both fresh and hardened states. It's crucial to highlight that, in the fresh state, I possess knowledge of advanced rheological techniques for proper application in various cases (self-compacting concrete (SCC), concrete pumping, Shotcrete Concrete. I also have experience working on projects that incorporate waste into cementitious compositions, analyzing all aspects, environmental, technical, and financial. My native language is Portuguese, and I have a proficient level of English (C1) and intermediate knowledge of German (B2)(currently undergoing a course to enhance my proficiency).
