Helen Beard joined Ayvens (a trading name of LeasePlan UK) in October 2021, drawn to the company’s focus on electric vehicles and evolving mobility needs. As LeasePlan’s Recruitment Specialist, she’s responsible for attracting, and selecting the best candidates to support those ambitions, while forecasting recruitment needs to meet emerging trends. CIPD qualified, she brings a wealth of HR experience to the role, earned within the fast-paced finance sector. An HR graduate from the University of Portsmouth, subsequent positions at insurance company Catlin and mortgage company Kensington Mortgages have taught her the importance of building strong working relationships and the resilience to manage employee relations while juggling multiple priorities efficiently. At LeasePlan, Helen works closely with hiring managers to provide a great experience for applicants, combining strong negotiation and communication skills with acute attention to detail. Working in a human-centric role, she believes a sense of humour is vital, and enjoys speaking with candidates to discover the best fit for the business. With a busy schedule, she also recognises the importance of downtime, regularly enjoying performing in tap-dancing shows and taking breaks in the countryside with her dog, Milo.
