As an Audit Manager with JPA Brenson Lawlor, I provide assurance services to a portfolio of clients principally in the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises (“SME”) segment, and operating across a broad range of business sectors, including healthcare, logistics and warehousing, retail convenience stores, and professional services providers. Reporting directly to Partner, I have responsibility for the execution of a risk-based audit approach, and leading audit teams during the planning, fieldwork and completion stages of the audit. My responsibilities include: o Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high quality and efficient audit and assurance services; o Building relationships with clients, through actively and regular engagement in order to understand their business needs and performance, key risks, and potential improvements for the future development of their business; o Providing additional guidance to clients on a consultancy basis; o Providing daily guidance and monitoring of audit teams, to ensure the execution of a high quality and efficient audit; o Maintaining the highest technical accounting, auditing and professional standards; o Training and developing audit teams to facilitate ongoing learning and development of knowledge o Performing practice management activities and undertaking wider office activities as required. o Active involvement in the recruitment of staff and involvement in the interviewing process
