Our Vision: • To use our expertise and passion to enhance the quality of vision and to make a difference in the lives of others. • To embrace technology and continue to learn to enable us to provide the best care available. • To strive towards the goals of Vision 2020, Close the Gap for Vision, which is about reducing preventable blindness by providing vision care for Indigenous Australians living in remote areas. • To create a network of optical suppliers, and establish a Vision Foundation that sources donated ready-mades, sunglasses, low cost glasses, to use in remote communities, and for those suffering financial difficulty. Aligning with Essilor Vision Foundation ”better life through better sight” In April 2014 Helen Summers Optometrist relocated to the Avenue precinct in Parap, Darwin, and opened as Australia’s flagship Nikon concept practice. The practice works with Flinder’s & Deakin University to mentor and train final year optometry students. Clinics, covering 1500 sqkm of the Top End: Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Jabiru, Adelaide River, Batchelor, Woolinging Homelands Litchfield, Danila Dilba. visiting Arnhemland communities.
