About Helen Winter

Hello there! It still feels like I've only just graduated from Bournemouth University, but in reality, that was way back in 2014 and I'm actually 30 with an allotment. At BU I studied Multimedia Journalism, where I learned how to produce and present radio shows, write for print, research and conduct interviews, film and edit video content, and the importance of having enough money on your electric key so the freezer doesn't turn off while you're in lectures. Since then I have delved into a career specialising in social media, content marketing, interviewing all kinds of fascinating people, filming, editing, creating graphics and doing live coverage at events. Among other things, I've hiked many mountains - including Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal, where I nearly got hit by lightning, assumed the role of 'backpacker' in SEAsia and New Zealand for five months, and fully renovated a 70s time capsule with my fiancé, now husband.
