About Helene Daum

Hello, my name is Helene Daum. I am a Substance Abuse Counselor and Office Manager at Racing for Recovery. I have been with the company since 2020. I have an associates and bachelors degree both in Psychology. I have my LCDC and QMHS licensing through the state of Ohio. March 2023 I will be back in school to obtain my Masters in Counseling degree to expand my knowledge and help with career growth. I have about six years experience in the social services field. I worked in Foster Care for two years with my husband, working in a Group Home with at-risk teenage boys. Then, a friend of mine was looking for help at the treatment facility that she worked at and they thought I would be a good fit for that role. After about a year of working in a female housing at a residential treatment facility, I transitioned and started my journey with Racing for Recovery starting off as an intake specialist and slowly started taking on more responsibilities for the day to day running the front office. After that, I added more responsibility and added a more clinical role within the company and be more hands on with clients, utilizing motivational interviewing skills in sessions help the people attain and sustain sobriety.
