About Helene Gwilliam

I am a Graduate Enrolled Nurse at St John of God Hospital Murdoch, completing my 2nd rotation in Hospice. My previous rotation was on Bridget Clancy ward (surgical gastrointestinal and colorectal) I also work part-time as an Enrolled Nurse at Hall & Prior's Tuohy Nursing Home in Midland, specialising in caring for people living with a diagnosis of dementia. I previously managed the Woodvale Social Club at Community Vision. We welcomed and cared for all members of our local community, particularly those living with Alzheimer's disease, or with a diagnosis of other forms of dementia, including younger onset dementia. I transitioned into a career in Nursing and Aged Care from commercial corporate over the last 7+ years. I have a Diploma of Nursing, a Certificate in Individual Support (Aged Care) and a Certifivate IV in Leadership and Innovation in Dementia Services. In my previous 20 year career, I was a senior marketing communications specialist with experience on both the agency and client side. I have worked in acquisition and portfolio teams across Retail Banking, Agribusiness, Business Banking, Financial Advice and Software Development. I am commencing a Master of Nursing at ECU in 2026, and will be a Registered Nurse on completion. My hope is to be able blend my 2 careers together, and I am interested to speak to anyone who has a role where that could be a possibility.
