Hi, I’m Hemant! Project Management Enthusiast. My Father introduced me to the world of Civil Engineering, many Industry leaders followed M. Visvesvaraya, M.S. Shetty, E. Sreedharan, John Smeaton, Gustave Eiffel, etc. but I followed my father who taught me Basics of Civil Engineering. Even though I was on the path of Learning Construction Materials & Methodology, In parallel I was searching for Right Career for me. I was of opinion there are very limited opportunity to earn in this industry and the same is very common. It took 5 years for me to understand there are many Engineers in the Industry but very few of them are “True in nature”. In year 2008, I started my official Civil Engineering Journey in NDMVP’s COE. I researched a lot about opportunities for Civil Engineer’s and came to conclusion this industry lacks in “Managing People”. Everyone says you have to be Rough & Tough t sustain in the world of Construction, but I realized that If you are able to manage Labours, Contractors, Consultants and other various Stakeholders well, then your project will never get Hampered. This understanding led me to find one of the Prestigious Construction Management Institute in India i.e. “National Institute of Construction management and Research” and I started my Post Graduation / PGP from 2012 on wards. The Institute taught me well all managerial aspects and applications of technical knowledge in Every required function on AECO-Sector. Year 2014, I was fortunate enough to get associated with Samsung C&T India Private Limited for their first and prestigious High-Rise Mixed-Use Project at Worli – Mumbai (Designed and Planned 85 Storied further reduced to 62 Storied when completed). Where I learnt how international players address each nook and corner of project. Execution Excellence with Safety, Quality and Environment. Managing Tools and tackles, heavy machines and Equipment’s, Labour management, Cost Control, etc. The most important part which I learnt was Logistics Management which Indian organization lack the most and application of well managed Logistics Plan would save crores for you. My second Portfolio was quite Bigger which I started handling in 2017 at Mahindra Life-space Developers Limited in Pune Region, wherein I have handled Billing / Quantity Surveying and Cost Controlling for more than 5 Projects costing more than Cr. Further due to my interest in Project Management helped me in getting additional roles for upcoming projects, Cost Monitoring and Reporting for the existing Projects.
