A Professor in Surgery and Pediatric Surgeon at Prasad Medical College, Lucknow. He retired from the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services (Indian Navy) on 31 December 2015, Beginning his career with Government of Maharashtra as an Assistant Surgeon after his post graduation in Surgery, he eventually joined Armed Forces Medical Services. He has served as a Surgeon with Armed Forces at various service hospitals as well as onboard the Indian Aircraft Carrier. He did his graduation and post graduation from GMC Nagpur and Super speciality form National Board of Examination, New Delhi. He has served as a General & Pediatric Surgeon at Naval Command Hospital. Besides a Post graduate guide and a teacher in General Surgery he was a Professor with the University of Health Sciences for more than 15 years. Professor in Surgery. The major emphasis of his teaching is on ‘basic surgical skill’ development in trainee surgeons and students. As a teacher for undergraduate he makes the task of surgery learning simple for undergraduate students. Has been appointed as Faculty and examiner in Surgery by Vice Chancellor RGUHS, Bangalore, Karnataka. Examiner for Diploma courses in Operation Room Technique & Physiotherapy at MUHS, Nasik. Presently he has-33 years as Surgeon (Civil and Military)-20 years as Consultant in Pediatric Surgery-29+ years Teaching Experience in Surgery. His major research work in Recurrent Abdominal Pain in children and Pediatric & Neonatal Circumcision. Dr. Nagar has acquired good knowledge about Medical Insurance Claims, TPA function and responsibilities. He also has a good understanding of P and L statement of a hospital. Wishes to contribute as a Surgeon, a Teacher and Healthcare Administrator. He has been given additional responsibility as Apex member for Quality Standard of the hospital as per NABH guidelines.
