About Hena Awan

I have over 17 years of experience in professional services in progressive roles and am currently Director, Operations and Strategy Enablement at KPMG in Canada. In this role as Chief of Staff to the Regional Managing Partner for the GTA, I work with leadership on priorities aligned with firm growth objectives and strategic initiatives, as well as leading office operations and enablement for our two GTA locations. I was previously the head of KPMG’s Key Client program in the GTA, leading a large team and overseeing a portfolio of top clients across industries in the areas of account management, brand and client relationship building and business development operations. Within KPMG I am also Co-Lead for Ascend Canada, the largest non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America and on the Executive Committee for our Employee Resource Group, The Salam Network. I am passionate about serving the community on initiatives that empower BIPOC women through platforms for professional development, networking and accessibility to resources. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Sakeenah Canada, a not for profit organization.
